<p>I have recently moved into a townhouse. It is lovely except for my next door neighbors. They are a pair of lawyers who are savvy about staying within the letter of the law and pushing the townhouse association’s rules. They have annoying behaviors such as claiming unassigned parking spaces in such a way that puts the rest of us at a disadvantage. They drive their motorcycles off their patios, filling our homes with exhaust and noise, and leave on bright floodlights for nights on end, which lights up my window and is annoying.</p> <p>The other neighbors have adjusted to this pair’s limit bending. I seem to be the neighbor most affected by their behaviors. Is there anything I can do? I'm about ready to lose my mind, it just isn’t fair.</p>

<p>I parked in a small parking lot the other night, and there was no attendant in site. When I got back to my car two hours later there was a ticket on my car, and on just about every other car in the lot.</p> <p>The ticket lists fines that increase by day up to a certain point before the ticket goes to collections.</p> <p>But can they actually enforce that kind of policy? It seems as if they deliberately left out the attendant for a $5 parking space so they could charge every car that night a $15-$75 fine.</p> <p>They do have my licence plate# but that's it, but that info is protected by the DMV isn't it? So is this just an empty threat so they can get more money, or should I actually try to pay them off for their underhanded policy in order to stay out of trouble?</p>

<p>So I met this girl a couple months ago, and we finally started dating the first week in December. Things were going really well with her, but just before we started going out she signed up for the National Guard. We discussed that a couple weeks ago, and she thought there would be a few months until she actually went off to Basic so we were going to see where things headed in the meantime. Then she got the paperwork, and it turns out she's leaving in 2 weeks. </p> <p>I know some people can make long distance relationships work, but this is still a pretty new relationship. Is it possible to still grow a new relationship long distance? </p> <p>And does anyone have experience with the Guard? Will she even have time to talk to me during basic? I can't imagine she gets to bring her cell phone... do they get computer access or anything so we could chat at night? Even going to visit is going to be expensive... I'm on the opposite side of the country from her base (Arizona, but I don't know the exact city yet) and ticket prices seem to range from $250-$400. </p> <p>EDIT: Just got great news! She's been bumped back for another couple months, so we'll probably be in a better position to judge things by then! May still need the advice on handling long distance relationships though... or at least this could be helpful for others. :)</p>
