I'm going to a tea party this weekend and we're all supposed to bring things. I know other people are bringing scones, cheese and crackers and some tiny sandwiches and such... would would be something good/interesting/different to bring to an afternoon tea party?

Others had brought cheese and crackers, finger sandwiches, a couple people made scones... I ended up buying brownies at the grocery store. You could also ask whoever else is going to be there what they are bringing, so you can try to bring something different.

One doesn't need to have to been invited to the Queen's garden party to know that the only, and I mean only thing you should bring is cucumber sandwiches - with the crusts removed and on white bread only and cut into dainty triangles!!

Here's a wiki article about cucumber sandwiches

The sugar is optional if you're eating something sweet with it.
